Born on the island in Galveston, Cassette Tape carries the salt, soul, and swagger of the Gulf Coast in every note. What started as a coastal fusion experiment grew into a powerful crossover movement — blending blues grit, deep pocket funk, Latin jazz rhythms, and reggae rock energy into a sound that feels unmistakably Texas.
Comprised of five Houston locals — Louis Morales, Matt Cash, Noe Molina, Cam Rowe, and David Rios — the band built its foundation playing shows along the coast before steadily expanding its reach across Houston and throughout Texas. Over the years, their high energy live performances and authentic Gulf Coast expression have earned them a loyal and growing fanbase, making Cassette Tape a true reflection of the region’s diverse musical heartbeat.

Multi-awarded and recognized as Band of the Year and Best Indie Band by local radio 94.5 The Texas Buzz, and named Reggae Artist of the Year by Houston Press— and has been celebrated and written about in local Galveston and Houston newspapers. The band is ready to continue the journey they began over a decade ago.
